  • Gold $20-Liberty Head Double Eagle
  • The Wild Steven Collection. 1878 was easily the Carson City’s most diverse year for coinage, with seated dimes, seated quarters, seated halves, trade dollars, morgan dollars, and double eagles produced. The coin offered here presents fabulous, fluttery patina in the form of rich flaxen gold color with splashes of light indigo and lilac in the northern half of obverse. However, a touch more wear than preferred for the 45 grade and what looks like a missed scratch almost all the way across the reverse should be mentioned. (CE)

  • Lot #731 - 1831 Small Letters PCGS AU-58
  • Hammer: $1,575
  • Quarter Dollars-Capped Bust
  • Browning-1, R.3 and in a common die-state with a crack through the end of the eagle's left wing and descending through the branches below. Trace wear on the cheek accounts for the near mint-state grade and because the surface is mostly white, a lot of luster gleams through inside of a lightly toned periphery.

  • Lot #289 - Sterling Silver Necklaces
  • Hammer: $330
  • Jewelry-Silver
  • The first necklace is circa 1960/1970 and signed H W on the reverse (possibly H. Wood of the Navajo nation). This 24” sterling silver (tested) bead necklace features a shadowbox pendant holding a turquoise cab with an engraved design. The turquoise looks like it might have come from the Fox Mine of Nevada. Some of the beads have some denting. The second necklace is also circa 1960/1970 and is an unsigned 18” sterling silver (tested) squash blossom necklace for a child, possibly of Navajo origin. This necklace features turquoise cabs that look like they might also be from the Fox Mine of Nevada with a seven stone Naja pendant and eight blossoms. 3.60 troy ounces.
