  • The Wild Steven collection. The 1872 Carson City double Eagle is remarkably scarce in choice AU and rapidly ascends in value until virtually unobtainable in mint state. Rich honey-orange accents dance in the peripheries behind considerable luster. Note some characteristic of brief flatness in the most prominent hair details in and around the obverse center. (CE)

Included in this hard to ignore grouping are five PMG certified issues that includes the following: a 1977A $1 New York EF-40, a 1981 $1 New York AU-55, a 1977 $10 New York GEMCU-65EPQ, a 1985 $20 Cleveland AU-55EPQ, and a 1981 $50 Chicago CHAU-58. The remaining two examples are PCGS Currency certified and includes a 1977A* $10 VF-30 full face to back offset and a 1974 $20 CHCU-64PPQ full back to face offset (ck).
