Gold $20-Liberty Head Double Eagle
The Wild Steven Collection. Offered here is a near mint specimen of the covert Carson City gold series. The AU-58 grade offered here, for the 1877 installation, is sandwiched in between two large value jumps between AU-55 and MS-60. Wear remains even and without overtly distracting marks, but the golden color is lacks depth, possibly owing to being dipped at some point in the coins life. (CE)
