Lot #771 - 1902 PCGS PR-65CAM
Half Dollars-Barber
Bravery Consignment. 4 graded PR-65 CAM, 18 higher at PCGS. An arresting gem proof, the surface displays a thin veneer of copper-gold that in no way diminishes obvious cameo contrast. Uncommon for later-date Barber proofs, the reverse shows no weakness whatsoever, not even at the juncture of the eagle's left (observed) wing. A few trivial hairlines sprint across the fields and play a minor role in the gem grade assessment.

At a comparable price, 1854-O makes a nice option for type purposes when found with this much remaining mint luster. The obverse of this example also shows intricate details, balanced against moderate softness on the reverse.

Lot #307 - Native American Unsigned Squash Blossom

Circa 1960/1970, this sterling silver (tested, not marked) and turquoise squash blossom necklace features 10 blossoms set between seamed beads and an 8-stone Naja at the bottom. The design of the piece is mostly original with a slight twist on modernism. The turquoise used in the making appears to be from the Cripple Creek mine. Condition is very nice for its age with a vintage patina to the metal. Unsigned piece so tribal affiliation is unknown. Length 28”, 5.78 troy ounces.
