  • Lot #362 - 1911, 1913, and 1915, all CACG MS-62
  • Hammer: $1,950
  • Gold $2.50-Indian Head Quarter Eagle
  • A sweet spot for collectors, MS-62 represents an ideal grade level for which to assemble a nicer set of Indian quarter-eagles. Included here are: 1911 (dusky orange and a delicate curly pinscratch on the cheek), 1913 (delightful matte khaki-gold texture), and 1915 (a trifle glossy and showing considerable amber overtone). Three coin lot.

  • Hammer: $2,100
  • Ancient Coins-Roman Empire
  • Pacific Coast Highway Collection. OBV: Roman consul walking left accompanied by two lictors. REV: eagle facing left stands on scepter clutching laurel wreath in right talon. That ancient technology was capable of such detail on both sides of a coin nearly defies belief. While struck perhaps 15% off-center, the flan still somehow received flowline effect very much similar to modern cartwheel luster.
