Half Dimes-Liberty Seated
Cochrane Gambit Consignment. Type half-dimes pair up to create a rather outstanding opportunity for the shrewd bidder. First is 1837 no-stars, cataloger's grade: [AU/cleaned], but really only mildly so, and later placed into an album such that now, the appearance borders upon very attractive and fully original. Accompanying is 1871, cataloger's grade: [AU-58] by strict standards, although generous album coloration and especially beautiful ocean-blue and sunset-orange on the reverse permit the appeal of a much higher grade. Two coin lot.

Precisely struck and so fresh that some flowline texture shows over Liberty's face. A modestly rotated reverse would be even more apparent were the coin mounted with the obverse perfectly straight within the slab.
