  • Lot #688 - 1890-CC AU, and an 1898-S BU
  • Hammer: $1,100
  • Silver Dollar-Morgan
  • Benjamin J. Collection. A pair of better silver dollars match up very well due to extensive luster and silvery aspects. Included are: 1890-CC (cataloger's grade: [AU-58], reverse is fully BU while utterly opaque friction barely shows in the obverse lower left field and over a portion of the cheek), and 1898-S (cataloger's grade: [MS-63] and looks much nicer due to grand-slam silver-bright luster and a superior strike, but delicate bagmarks lining the obverse left field must be accounted for). Two coin lot.

  • Lot #716 - 1811/10 Punctuated Date O-101 NGC XF-45
  • Hammer: $675
  • Half Dollars-Capped Bust, Lettered Edge
  • Overton-101, the very popular 1811/10 overdate that has its own listing within the Redbook. This choice example features a reasonably original antique finish on the obverse, endowed with olive-yellow, cobalt and periwinkle-grey album toning. The reverse is basically doused in classic powder-grey patina.
