  • Collector Lots-Proof Sets
  • An entire five-coin run of 1907 United States proof issues have been certified by PCGS and includes a PR-63RB Indian cent, a PR-63CAM Liberty nickel, a PR-63 Barber dime, a PR-64+CAM Barber quarter, and a PR-66+ Barber half-dollar. A nearly identical layer of royal purple and russet tones engulf the surfaces of the Barber dime and Barber half-dollar. The standout is the Barber quarter with blast white subjects that offer up truly cameo fields with tremendous contrast (ck)!

  • Lot #766 - 1881 NGC MS-65 PL
  • Hammer: $3,150
  • Half Dollars-Liberty Seated
  • 5 graded MS-65 PL, 23 higher at NGC. A brilliant white gem, some cartwheel effect still roams through the field but is mostly replaced by excellent mirrored qualities, particularly on the near-DMPL obverse. Especially well struck and splendidly preserved, only 10,000 circulation strikes were produced in Philadelphia as opposed to fewer than a thousand proofs, yet the former are often mistaken for specimen strikings. A nick on Liberty's mouth joins some additional diminutive bagmarks here and there, not impeding visual appeal at all even in aggregate.

  • Lot #74 - Mexico - 1841-"iP" JS 8 reales Mintmark Error - NGC VF-30
  • Hammer: $800
  • World Coins-Mexico
  • KM#377.12, San Luis Potosi mint, erroneous "iP" mintmark. Considered "rare" according to some sources, scarcity stems from erroneous use of "iP" as the mintmark instead of Pi. This specific issue is virtually unobtainable in mint-state and the present VF-30 represents a rather high grade. Further, this appears to be a lovely, original example that suffers no distractions.
