  • Lot #848 - Two 1873 Closed 3 PR-64, both PCGS (green label)
  • Hammer: $975
  • Nickels-Shield
  • Cheddars de Voirs Collection. Proof and circulation strike 1873 nickels comprise this pairing of "closed 3" logotypes. First is a proof example featuring bright reflectivity overall but substantial fingerprint remnants that add many delicate greyish spots to either side. Accompanying is a circulation strike example with a clearly busted obverse die yet an overall very good strike with limited luster. Two coin lot.

  • Lot #638 - 1884-CC PCGS MS-64DMPL (green label)
  • Hammer: $925
  • Silver Dollar-Morgan
  • Bucky The Badger Consignment. VAM-4 "spiked date". The first "8" has a spike extended left of the bottom loop, showing plainly in this very early die-state. Glory frost surrounds the eagle's motif and also clings to some obverse devices, the whole wrapped up in pristine silvery brilliance. Linear abrasions extend upward from Liberty's ear, nearly camouflaged by curl delineation.
