Gold $2.50-Indian Head Quarter Eagle
A sweet spot for collectors, MS-62 represents an ideal grade level for which to assemble a nicer set of Indian quarter-eagles. Included here are: 1911 (dusky orange and a delicate curly pinscratch on the cheek), 1913 (delightful matte khaki-gold texture), and 1915 (a trifle glossy and showing considerable amber overtone). Three coin lot.

Lot #408 - 1868 NGC MS-61

Gold $3-Indian Princess Head
Scott Laiter Collection. 41 graded MS-61, 37 higher at NGC. While more available as a date within the series, 1868 is at least not one of the truly common emissions. Without aid of a loupe, MS-61 almost seems too low given the lovely semi-flashy luster often seen for the date. Traces of lavender-gold show on both sides.
