  • 101st Airborne Collection. First is 1948 -S quarter with delightful, pastel album color. Next are four half-dollars: 1951 (purple-orange), 1962-D (FBL, mottled hues), 1962-D (strong color may not pass muster), and 1963 (Gem Proof, outstanding rim color). A trio of common silver dollars wraps things up: 1882-O (light peripheral toning only), 1884-O (excellent album rim toning), and 1889 (smoky colors of possibly questionable origin). Eight coin lot.

  • Lot #901 - 1950 Washington, Booker T. PCGS MS-67 CAC
  • Hammer: $2,300
  • Silver Commemoratives-Silver Commemoratives Half-Dollars
  • 49 graded MS-67, 9 graded MS-67+, zero higher at PCGS. Common most of the time, the 1950 BTW half-dollar can be pleasantly appreciated when found so nice and luminous as this remarkable, superb gem example. Inevitably, the pre-strike abrasions that always appear on Washington's cheek, no matter what the grade, will show up under a loupe but the surface otherwise remains phenomenally immune from contact and seems fully original.
