Included are: BG-727 (astonishingly high grade and blatantly prooflike), BG-728 (drenched in curiously lackluster greenish hue and unusually well struck), and BG-872 (rather outstanding citrus-gold on the obverse and lemon-yellow on the reverse with semi-prooflike reflectivity). Gold $20-Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle
Tougher in mint state than its 1908 no motto counterpart, the 1907 Saint Gaudens is known for its flat strike, a result of an overcorrection after the ultimately failed high relief experiment on the then new double eagle design. A stupendous medium-gold sheen glazes the obverse; both sides remain relatively unscathed from major incisions compared to other MS-62 twenty-dollar gold grades.
