Collector Lots-Gold Type
Zee's Densities Collection. Tougher classic head gold coins offer type possibilities despite some PCGS disclaimers. First is an 1834 quarter eagle that shows upper rim anomalies suggesting a prior mount for jewelry use, and for sure, the surface glitters as if such was the case. Accompanying is an 1835 half eagle, both sides a little glossy and showing errant rim filing at the very bottom of the obverse. Two coin lot.

Cataloger's grade: [AU/cleaned]. Only vaguely cleaned and as a result, either side shows myriad delicate, feathery hairlines. Despite the mint of origin, both sides display exceptional detailing and even hints of luster near the rims.

A fancy vintage sunburst pin with an approximate .50 ct. old European cut diamond in the center, minor girdle chips, SI2 clarity, I color with an array of different sizes of seed pearls. The pin is in good condition. Dimensions 1” x 1”, 3.9 dwt.
