  • Lot #745 - 1806 Pointed 6, No Stem PCGS AU-55
  • Half Dollars-Draped Bust
  • Bachelor Simon Collection. Overton-109a R.3, a well-known die-state with extensive obverse die cracks from incessant clashing of the dies. The die-state can be instantly ascertained by noting the crack over the twelfth star. It is true that deep, nearly midnight coloration dominates the obverse, yet both sides exude strong luster, and the reverse displays obvious evidence of annulated album colors. Both sides display a remarkable degree of freedom from abrasions as the cataloger could find not even a single bagmark requiring attention.

  • Lot #350 - 1834 Classic Head NGC MS-63 PL
  • Hammer: $8,750
  • Gold $2.50-Classic Head Quarter Eagle
  • Breen-6138, small head. 3 graded MS-63 PL, 7 higher at NGC. Evidently, the small head subvariety was struck off of one die-marriage although Breen cataloged two. The 1834 is readily available as a type representative in most grades, but with the highly coveted prooflike designation, the population falls very rapidly. A quick glance is sufficient to gather in the gorgeous cameo contrast seen for this choice coin, although the reverse fields are set aglow with some additional royal gold accents.

Featured in the center is an incredible sand cast bear with three turquoise pieces. The design is completed with lots of applied feathers and curlicues. The turquoise appears to be from the Cripple Creek mine. This bracelet is in excellent condition and is a genuine statement piece! 3.54 troy ounces.
