Far and away the scarcest Indian quarter-eagle, the 1911-D gets additional respect when a grading service provides the "strong D" moniker. The mintmark seen here cannot be mistaken at all, being readily visible without the aid of a loupe. Terrific for MS-62, this well struck coin practically glitters with faintly yellowed golden hue.
