  • Lot #688 - 1890-CC AU, and an 1898-S BU
  • Hammer: $1,100
  • Silver Dollar-Morgan
  • Benjamin J. Collection. A pair of better silver dollars match up very well due to extensive luster and silvery aspects. Included are: 1890-CC (cataloger's grade: [AU-58], reverse is fully BU while utterly opaque friction barely shows in the obverse lower left field and over a portion of the cheek), and 1898-S (cataloger's grade: [MS-63] and looks much nicer due to grand-slam silver-bright luster and a superior strike, but delicate bagmarks lining the obverse left field must be accounted for). Two coin lot.

  • Lot #377 - Two 1905 PCGS MS-64
  • Hammer: $1,000
  • Gold $2.50-Liberty Head Quarter Eagle
  • Nearly gem examples are practically identical in appearance. One shows a delicate, brief hairline at the top of the neck while the other shows a small greyish splash above the portrait. Two coin lot.
