  • Lot #940 - 1922 Grant Star, and a 1937 Antietam, both PCGS UNC details/cleaned
  • Hammer: $925
  • Silver Commemoratives-Silver Commemoratives Half-Dollars
  • Benjamin J. Collection. Much better commemorative types get UNC details assessment at PCGS. Included are: Grant "star" (unusually bold clashed die and utterly insignificant signs of cleaning -- perhaps AU-58 would be a more veracious assessment), and Antietam (so-called cleaning is simply not meaningfully visible "through the plastic" for what appears to be a reasonably choice, brilliant white example). Two coin lot.

  • Silver Dollar-Peace
  • A gossamer layer of almond toning prevents the coin from being truly flashy, and it offers instead some smooth satin-textured eye-appeal. Surprisingly clean on the cheek, a reedmark at the top of Liberty's neck appears to be the primary grade determinant.
