Sandra Wilson Algiers Estate. Sandra Wilson Algiers Collection. 2 graded MS-67 "star", 4 higher at NGC. While a common date in general, 1946 with a "star" is truly a rare find at NGC (and today's sale contains nearly half of NGC's entire population). Here is an outrageous example that not only puts forth mind-boggling eye-appeal but also possesses incredible technical attributes right down to a virtually complete absence of contact marks. Shockingly bright emerald-green, ruby-magenta, deep violet and sunrise-gold hues douse the entire obverse, with maximum emphasis on emerald-jade vibrancy, while similar Crayola hues enshroud the reverse with priority given yolk-gold color.

Lot #550 - 1909-S NGC MS-66

13 graded MS-66, zero higher at NGC. Not so many years ago, 1909-S was considered rare in high grade until a hoard of better examples entered the market and helped increase the supply of gem examples. That said, this spectacular coin, showing exceptional copper-gold color, exceeds the gem grade by a full point at NGC, and places it smack dab into the discussion of finest-known pieces at that grading company (PCGS claims two higher graded examples).

Close inspection reveals superbly frosted surfaces and a lack of major marks; the cataloger suggests the one lone depression down the left edge of Liberty's gown may be the most noticeable. On the reverse, what appears at first to be a micro pinscratch could actually be an interesting strikethrough, which could then be of significant interest as a provenance marker for a coin this scarce. An exquisite, much better date within the series that would be almost impossible to beat in terms of quality.

From the Running Bear Trading Group of Gallup, N.M. here’s a signed Alan Chee sterling silver and turquoise cuff bracelet. Featured in the center is an incredible sand cast bear with three turquoise pieces. The design is completed with lots of applied feathers and curlicues. The turquoise appears to be from the Cripple Creek mine. This bracelet is in excellent condition and is a genuine statement piece! 3.54 troy ounces.
