Large Cents-Braided Hair
Newcomb-23 (R.5) and considering the very sharp definition despite two points of wear, one might have expected an early die-state assessment. In fact, the large triangular break at upper right of the reverse denotes terminal dies - Grellman state "e". Deep segmentation over each obverse star speaks to an unexpectedly bold strike while every single strand of hair appears fully delineated. Steely patina layers over generally dark brown hues.

Dino-Mite Collection. A trio of choice more-or-less half-dimes get proper PCGS treatment in terms of grade. Included are: 1844 (roll friction in obverse right field while otherwise completely doused in attractive wintergreen patina), 1847 in MS-64 (very attractive album toning on cleanly struck details), and 1847 in MS-62 (olive-green obverse and more olive-gold and greenish hues on the reverse all over clashed dies). Three coin lot.
