  • Lot #860 - 1937-D 3 Legged AU
  • Nickels-Buffalo
  • Benjamin J. Collection. Cataloger's grade: AU/reverse wiped. Light golden toning is classic for Denver nickels of the era, and it plays beautifully over these almost fully lustrous surfaces. Sharpness probably exceeds AU-55, but a good lamp brings about some very fine hairlines traveling diagonally over the bison's back. A terrific candidate for any high-end album collection.

  • The Keota National Bank Keota, Oklahoma. New to the census, which increases the known population to a mere three pieces, per the cataloger's research. The cataloger has seen only one other example and the signatures here are distinctly stronger than expected. Keota National Bank issued only 657 sheets of third charter datebacks, only to go out of business three years later.

  • Sterling silver (tested, not marked) cuff bracelet in an overly bold design. With stampings to both sides of the piece, the cuff features a center applied leaf surrounded by four cabs of turquoise that appear to be from three different mines. An unsigned piece, so tribal affiliation is unknown. The original price tag remains to the underside of the piece. 5.86 troy ounces.
