KM#C18.1, Moscow mint, Bitkin-140. Phenomenal dove-grey and aluminum compete for real estate across this large and virtually unblemished crown. Rims show a bit of effect from circulation but nothing obtrusive shows against the PCGS slab gasket. A much rarer type in better grader off of Moscow.

Gold $2.50-Liberty Head Quarter Eagle
Mintage: 10,220. Overall reasonably appealing given the mint of origin, close perusal with a loupe reveals slightly glossy character and light wear above Liberty's brow, over the curls and on the highpoints of the eagle's wings. This example of the rare 1849-C sees some circulation abrasions at the lower portrait, while the reverse essentially avoids mentionable contact. The strike appears typically weak on the eagle's left (observed) leg and the feathers immediately surrounding the shield.
