  • Lot #798 - 1840-O No Drapery PCGS AU-53
  • Hammer: $900
  • Quarter Dollars-Liberty Seated
  • 6 graded AU-53, 48 higher at PCGS. Scarcer of the two obverse varieties for 1840-O, and very difficult to locate in mint-state such that all properly graded AU examples are desirable. Only minimal luster remains on the obverse while the reverse provides more energy, the whole wrapped up in slightly dense yolk-grey surrounded by deeper bluish hue.

  • Lot #581 - 1800 PCGS VF details/cleaned
  • Hammer: $1,550
  • Silver Dollar-Draped Bust
  • Morals And Liberty Collection. Bolender-10, BB-190 (R.3). Sharpness seems to touch the VF-20 level, especially as E PLURIBUS UNUM remains fairly legible but partially weak on the reverse motto. Slate-grey layers of the surface which shows the characteristic dullness expected of a moderately cleaned example.
