Lot #877 - 1816 Newcomb-2 PCGS UNC details/scratch(BN)

Large Cents-Liberty Head
Newcomb-2 and die-state C/B featuring rim breaks at the obverse upper right as well as a die line extending right over the top of "OF" on the reverse. As a Randall Hoard survivor, numerous UNC examples exist, this example typically mellowed to rich brown hue with later-developing steely bluish overtones. An old pinscratch over the lower third of the obverse requires mention.

Half Dollars-Walking Liberty
Very choice half-dollars all supply a profusion of white luster for this PCGS trio. Included are: 1935 (decent strike off of once-clashed and repolished dies), 1935-D (the commonly flatter strike yet zooming luster can still take advantage of nicely frosted texture), and 1935-S (clearly not well struck yet here again, ample luster makes up for any technical deficiency).
