A generation's worth of Morgan dollars earn at least choice BU grades at PCGS. Included are: 1879-O (very good strike over exquisite, white fine-textured matte frost surfaces), 1897-S (astounding windmill energy on pure-white mint frost), and 1904 (another very good strike but the cheek disturbed by a number of tiny bagmarks). A very reasonable strike goes beyond expectations for a date often found weak. New Orleans drastically cut production during 1893 to 1895 and churned out indifferently struck dollars. This one is above average in almost every regard except for the number of tiny abrasions that, in aggregate, limit the grade.
