A fashionable 18K gold station necklace with Tahitian pearls and diamonds with a twisted cable and beaded design. The 12 pearls that are displayed on the gold chain measure 10mm each while the faceted round diamond accents measure 2.5mm in the double-sided stations weighing approximately .40 cttw, SI clarity, G color. A combination of its large size and iconic design makes the Mexican 8 Reales a highly collected series and this group lot of six such examples is sure to please any collector of the type. There are two PCGS certified pieces that includes an 1861-Mo CH MS-61 and an 1863-Zs MO MS-62. The four remaining examples are NGC certified and includes an 1888CN AM MS-62, an 1892DO JP MS-61, an 1892MO AM MS-62, and an 1895MO AM MS-62 (ck).

Blazing with nearly blinding, matte luster, the surface looks up and down every bit of gem to the observer. It's tough to tell what exactly denied upgrade, but perhaps a small nick at left of the chin caught a grader's eye. Or the graders all got egged and were in a very bad mood that day.

Robert Michaels Collection. Mostly burgundy-brown in hue, the fields still manage to retain nice luster and clutch onto gem preservation without question. Each side manifests exquisite details even though both of the dies have multiple fine cracks and were likely close to failure by the time this 1869 was struck. A groovy option for gem type purposes.
