  • Lot #591 - 1799 PCGS VF-25
  • Hammer: $2,250
  • Silver Dollar-Draped Bust
  • Bolender-8, BB-165, R.3, one of the die-marriages for the series that had exclusive use of both the obverse and reverse dies. "N" in UNITED was originally punched in upside-down and subsequently corrected, this earlier die-state coin retaining remnants of an errant serif between "NI". Nicer patina visits this smooth and honestly worn example, for which there are no sudden or unexpected abrasions.

  • Lot #717 - 1811 Small 8 NGC AU-58
  • Hammer: $1,400
  • Half Dollars-Capped Bust, Lettered Edge
  • Overton-11, small 8, and without question struck off of nice, prime dies as there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever of any clashing or die cracks. A white example, plenty of eye-catching swings through the fields and energizes a good, potent strike. Faint, hairline friction across portions of the surface offers the only important evidence of handling.
