Here lies the “Beloved Unicorn” four coin set that was issued in a very limited manner of only 750 sets by the People’s Bank of China in 1996. Included in this set is a gold 25 Yuan (1/4oz.), a gold 10 Yuan (1/10oz.), a gold 5 Yuan (1/20oz.), and a silver 10 Yuan (1oz.) unicorn coins. Each of these are in their original plastic capsules and housed inside of the deluxe wooden display box. This set is also accompanied by its original certificates of authenticity and comes along with a unicorn themed perfume bottle as well! It simply does not get any better than this (ck).

Lot #785 - 1907 PCGS PR-67 CAC, Ex-Pittman

Ex-Pittman (not listed on slab insert). 15 graded PR-67, 4 higher at PCGS Sadly, this coin has somehow lost its famous pedigree along its journey into the PCGS slab, as somebody foolishly (perhaps) removed it from the original NGC holder (SN: 638831-001) where it had the same grade (and also a green CAC sticker). Oh the lengths some will travel to eke a few extra dollars out of a plastic holder... but we digress. The Pittman dime is nothing short of incredible as it displays lovely, tasteful obverse peripheral toning and enormously satisfying indigo-violet hue across the entire reverse. As befits the grade, the surface shows simply zero distractions, except perhaps a singular carbon speckle at the front of Liberty's neck, which is helpful in identifying it for future generations. A Scotsman Cataloger's Choice Award for obvious reasons, and we can only hope that the future owner will take the steps necessary to restore the esteemed pedigree to whatever slab the coin ends up in.

Lot #309 - Native American Squash Blossom

Circa 1960/1970 and signed by Bobby Thompson of the Navajo nation, this sterling silver (tested, not marked) and turquoise squash blossom necklace features 10 blossoms set between seamed beads and a 5-stone Naja at the bottom. The turquoise cabs are set in a shadow box setting and while most of the background has been blackened nicely, a couple panels need a touch up of color. The turquoise used in the making appears to be from the Sleeping Beauty mine. Condition is very nice for its age with a vintage patina to the metal. Length 30”, 5.54 troy ounces
