Early United States mint sets are among the most difficult items to find in their original condition and packaging. There are five such issues here that includes a 1949, a 1951, a 1952, a 1954, and a 1957. Each of these are still in their original cardboard sleeves and envelopes as well. Wispy and dusty tones cling to all of the surfaces of each issue within each set lending even further evidence to these particular set’s originality. Gold Dollars-Indian Princess Head, Large Head
Mintage: 10,000. 39 graded AU-58, 13 higher at NGC. Impressively close to mint-state, where the population drops off a cliff, either side retains a vast majority of original luster, thinned on highpoint details by trace friction. Tiny scattered abrasions and a few minute hairlines on the reverse below the wreath speak to scant usage in circulation.
