  • Lot #867 - 1793 Wreath, Vine, and Bars PCGS F details/environmental damage
  • Large Cents-Flowing Hair
  • Sheldon-6 (R.3), with a vine-and-bars edge per PCGS. Border legends are as bold as can be and stand well clear from a partially dentilated obverse rim. The reverse features a considerable majority of the dentils throughout. PCGS calls out "environmental damage", yet the surface is not nearly as bad as that might imply, showing dusky wallet-brown with scant, tiny planchet voids and slightly uneasy surface texture.

  • Clem Stevens Collection. Over-mintmarks immediately appeal to the collector seeking interesting diversions into the burgeoning field of Buffalo nickel varieties. Included are: 1935-S/S/S (appealing violet-orange patina and an excellent strike to go with the bold OMM), and 1938-D/D/D/S (the usual opulent nickel-white eye-appeal attending to a boatload of mintmarks on the reverse). Two coin lot.
