Bass-Dannreuther-1, R.3. Undoubtedly dedicated to a necklace early in life, this 1809/8 capped bust half-eagle suffered the indignity of a hole piercing the field at 12:00. A fairly competent effort was made to fill it in, with better results shown on the reverse.

Land And Home Collection. Hodder 2-D, Breen-190, R.6+. The "Godless" LON DON variety is much scarcer than the more often encountered GOD PRESERVE LONDON varieties. The surface of this wallet-brown example has a somewhat dry appearance but has no curious discolorations. Several tiny, curious pockmarks dot the elephant side, while the reverse shows no unexpected contact.
