Lot #873 - 1803 100/000 PCGS VF-25
Large Cents-Draped Bust
Sheldon-249, 100/000 fraction, and apparently die state II with the "mumps" die defect attached to Liberty's jaw. From a commercial standpoint, sharpness may be slightly better than VF-25, this offset by a rather generous helping of small circulation marks strewn across the obverse. Decent eye appeal unfolds on both sides due to much nicer powder-chocolate patina that shows remarkably few distractions other than those abrasions.

The 1873 “open” versus “closed” is differentiated by the number 3’s lower serif ball, and its ability to pass through the gap between top and bottom. Bright golden color is, on the obverse, subdued by appropriate marking for the grade.

Here we have a signed sterling silver (tested, not marked) and turquoise cuff bracelet that features the initials of JVB – Jimmy Victor Begay of the Navajo nation. This is a genuine statement piece with a design that is big and bold and features large spider web turquoise cabs that appear to be from the Kingman mine. Excellent condition with a dark patina to the metal. 5.59 troy ounces.
