Gold $20-Liberty Head Double Eagle
Cheddars de Voirs Collection. Mintage: 22,410. Surprisingly strong luster remains prevalent on both sides, cheerfully illuminating bright dandelion-yellow and golden orange hues. The reverse plainly has claims to at least AU-50 all by itself. Typical abrasions scatter widely across either side, joined by a few bolder marks left of Liberty's mouth and flung right of the hair knot. Housed in a much older no-line holder, one can have confidence that this appealing, vibrant coin has remained unaltered for at least a few decades.

That said, this is an exceptional example for MS-64+, utterly filled with tortoise-shell luster patterns and dominated by beautiful, fresh medium golden color. Large and in charge, this royal knight cameo carved in natural quartz agate, Stone Group Laboratories report #240827H-SJ has a brownish grey color and measures 32.8x22.1x9.1mm. The cameo has a bezel around it and sits on a scalloped band. Approximate Ring size 6 (with Sizing Beads), 16.0 dwt.
