  • Lot #689 - 1890-CC PCGS MS-62
  • Hammer: $600
  • Silver Dollar-Morgan
  • Benjamin J. Collection. VAM-6, quickly attributable by noticing die cracks that connect the bottom of the digits in the date. This strongly detailed Carson City plainly shows a choice-plus reverse and will also seem undergraded when viewing blistering luster on the obverse, but closer inspection finds light slidemarks on the cheek.

  • Lot #74 - Mexico - 1841-"iP" JS 8 reales Mintmark Error - NGC VF-30
  • Hammer: $800
  • World Coins-Mexico
  • KM#377.12, San Luis Potosi mint, erroneous "iP" mintmark. Considered "rare" according to some sources, scarcity stems from erroneous use of "iP" as the mintmark instead of Pi. This specific issue is virtually unobtainable in mint-state and the present VF-30 represents a rather high grade. Further, this appears to be a lovely, original example that suffers no distractions.
