Bucky The Badger Consignment. Struck in the year following World War II, this pair from Canada. First is 1946 50-cents, adequately struck and impressively toned with aqua-blue alongside the left edge of the silvery obverse against the concentrically toned reverse. Accompanying is 1946 dollar, nearly pristine silver-white and showing rather minimal abrading over the satin-bright surface. Two coin lot.

Bowers lists this misplaced date but it is seldom referenced elsewhere, which is too bad given how prominent the digits are within the denticles. They are especially visible on such a nice, high-grade example of this Civil War survivor. Neither side would truly pass as UNC under close inspection, but the amount of wear is paper-thin and the coin overall exhibits attractive golden color with pinkish lowlights.
