Half Dollars-Capped Bust, Lettered Edge
Cheddars de Voirs. Varying degrees of cleaning from light to almost nonexistent plagues this seven coin group lot of ANACS certified Capped Bust half-dollars. Each of these issues are housed in the older style “soap box” holder and can be described as follows: an 1832 O-101 UNC Details Cleaned, an 1832 O-118 AU Details Cleaned, an 1833 O-102 AU Details Cleaned, an 1833 O-102 UNC Details Cleaned, an 1834 O-107 AU Details Cleaned, an 1835 O-101 AU Details Cleaned, and an 1836 O-119 AU Details Cleaned. All seven of these have begun to re-tone after the cleaning had taken place, giving them a better than average look for their assigned grades (ck).

The 1885 is one of those key dates that seems highly available in low grades (think AG to VG), locatable in high grade (Choice BU and up), but about impossible to find in grades between those two extremes. Along comes this ideally graded AU-50 that boasts absolutely extraordinary, vintage medium-grey color and fair luster that should combine to push the high bids to the upper limit for the grade. Smoothly worn and unquestionably problem-free, the coin even benefits from a nice, small die chip on "D" of UNITED to create even more interest.

Lot #307 - Native American Unsigned Squash Blossom

Circa 1960/1970, this sterling silver (tested, not marked) and turquoise squash blossom necklace features 10 blossoms set between seamed beads and an 8-stone Naja at the bottom. The design of the piece is mostly original with a slight twist on modernism. The turquoise used in the making appears to be from the Cripple Creek mine. Condition is very nice for its age with a vintage patina to the metal. Unsigned piece so tribal affiliation is unknown. Length 28”, 5.78 troy ounces.
