  • Encapsulation of both the coin and original government COA show matching serial numbers. PCGS considers numismatic quality to reach perfection, and even the closest inspection can find no discernible reason to disagree. Remarkably, between them, the two major grading services suggest PR-70 to actually be substantially more common than coins graded "only" PR-69 or lower.

Three examples are PCGS certified and include an 1881-O MS-64 CAC, an 1881-S MS-64 CAC and a 1900-O MS-65 CAC. A lone NGC issue is a very attractive 1881-S MS-65 CAC. Above average eye appeal made all four of these “no doubters” with regards to earning their respective CAC green badges of honor (ck).

There is a total of approximately 2.00 cttw in round cut diamonds, SI1 clarity, H-I color that accent the oval face. The band then continues with a filagree style design. Winds, sets and runs. Length: 7”, 12.7 dwt.
