Lot #1 - Group of nine Continental notes certified by PCGS

US Currency-Continental Currency
During the time of the American Revolution there was not yet a central bank so multiple types of currency circulated including Continental currency and Colonial currency. There is a total of nine such PMG certified examples in this group lot and the four Continental currency issues includes a 1778 $7 Yorktown F-12, a 1775 $8 VF-30, a 1776 $1/6 F-15, and a 1776 $8 AU-53. The remaining five issues are Colonial currency and includes a 1780 $1, a 1775 20 Schillings, a 1777 Six Pence, and a 1777 Four Pence. A lone uncertified example is a 1775 4 Schilling (ck).

This lovely pendant features a 3.10 ct. trillion sphene with a mesmerizing greenish-yellow color surrounded by a double halo of round brilliant diamonds weighing an estimated .75 cttw, SI clarity, I color. It should be noted that while extremely gorgeous, sphene is a softer mineral of very high refraction and it does take special care. You should not ever place it in ultrasonic cleaner or any other type of vibration and should just be cleaned with soap and water. Dimensions .75” x .55”, 2.3 dwt.
