Nickels-Liberty Head
31 graded PR-67 CAM, 1 graded PR-67 CAM "star", 7 higher at NGC. Statistically, UCAM proof nickels minted after 1900 are highly elusive, and even this astonishing jewel shows UCAM contrast only the obverse, the reverse "merely" CAM. Exquisitely preserved and never mishandled, hairlines avoid the fields completely and the most careful examination finds no contact marks of any kind.

A very reasonable strike goes beyond expectations for a date often found weak. New Orleans drastically cut production during 1893 to 1895 and churned out indifferently struck dollars.
