With a nearly nonexistent population of only two sheets reported, this very rare run of (12) 1934-D $5 Wide I (QA Block) silver certificates are certainly worth some serious attention. Bold blues clash against nearly Gem CU paper quality making this particular sheet a deserving recipient of the Choice UNC 64 grade it has been awarded by PMG. Often found cut a little askew, this particularly bright example has been almost ideally centered and squared properly when viewed from either side, which means the back of the note is as appealing as the front. Signatures were stamped a little high but are as bold and deep black as can be. A "small tear" as called out by PMG only just barely requires mention because it technically touches a portion of the design (the border line) else it would escape notice. Not mentioned is a tiny dab of greenish residue positioned below the offending "tear" -- the cataloger speculates a staple may have been professionally removed from the edge at some point.
