  • Silver Dollar-Morgan
  • VAM-14A, and one could not ask for a more exemplary example of the variety as it offers exactly the sequence of die cracks as seen in the VAM guide, as well as two spikes on the nose. Damaged dies may explain why Carson City struck this issue typically with more shallow depth than usual and isolated softness just above the ear is one characteristic. That said, eye-appeal exceeds expectations of a choice example as the reverse displays rather astonishing yolk-orange, sea-green and coral-blue hues.

  • A thin but noticeable tear up the third fold gets called out on the holder, but this is otherwise a natural, vintage example with superior centering. Portal fives always remain popular with collectors and with the holder flattening out the wrinkles, this is a most presentable note for the workingman collector.

  • Circa 1960/1970, this sterling silver (tested, not marked) and turquoise squash blossom necklace features 10 blossoms set between seamed beads and a 6-stone Naja at the bottom. The turquoise used in the making appears to be from the Cripple Creek mine. Condition is very nice for its age with a vintage patina to the metal. Unsigned piece so tribal affiliation is unknown. Length 23”, 5.31 troy ounces.
