  • Lot #299 - 1804 Plain 4 - No Stems AU-55 BN
  • Half Cents-Draped Bust
  • Bachelor Simon Collection. Cohen-13, plain 4, stemless, and a generally readily available Redbook entry, though obviously at AU-55, this is a sharp and pleasing example. The obverse appears slightly glossy compared to the reverse and either side appears free from major abrasions -- the reverse unusually so. Bold deep brown coloration provides a nice visual impression of completely original preservation.

Fourteen of these issues are raw examples that can not be accurately described by this cataloger. There are four remaining certified issues that includes 2x No Date PCGS MS-64 90% off-center struck Washington quarters, a 1980-P ANACS MS-64RB Jefferson nickel on 1C planchet, and a 1983-P ANACS MS-63 Broadstruck Partial Brockage. The only “mistake” to make would be to not view this group lot in person (ck).
