Gold $20-Liberty Head Double Eagle
Pleasing luster greets the eye and gleams from fields that show a slight hint of cameo effect for this Centennial example. 1876 is a good choice for type representation being an available date, this example not overly bothered by expected abrasions strewn throughout.

Lot #392 - 1911-D Strong D PCGS MS-62

Gold $2.50-Indian Head Quarter Eagle
At first glance, the quality seems much superior to MS-62, and even careful scrutiny will find only the most trivial abrasions, about the size of flea specks. MS-64 almost seems like a possibility until one discovers light hairlines erratically scattered within the fields, albeit they are clearly toned down by the attractive yellow-gold color. Almost fully struck and showing a nice, sharp "D" mintmark on the reverse.
