A defective flan retains some anomalies on the rim above the portrait. Marginally glossy and showing a few more tiny abrasions than usual in the obverse upper left field, helping to justify the grade.

It wouldn't seem reasonable for a brown early copper to dazzle the eye with vibrancy, but somehow, this gorgeous burgundy-brown coin offers extensive satiny luster that holds up well to close scrutiny. A razor sharp strike and surfaces free from contact fill in the gaps of expectations of the gem grade level. Stars are mostly boldly detailed and fine dentilation completely surrounds both sides.
