Annals At Phoenix Collection. VAM-2B. Brilliant white with no toning, and dead-center of the prooflike designation. An incredibly accurate strike characterizes this first-year Morgan dollar, along with a seemingly clean cheek and minimal abrasions just grazing the mirrors. One nick on the brow represents the sole mentionable bagmark.

Type-2 reverse. A large mintage of 1150 pieces anticipated heavy demand as the centennial year of the nation's birth. Expectations may also explain the apparent extra care taken to produce these proofs as this is a typically razor-sharp example with no sign of weakness whatsoever. Phenomenal, velvety violet-green deeply saturates the obverse and layers over the outer areas of the reverse where it surrounds salmon-gold hues.
