Lot #452 - 1839 Head of 1838 NGC AU-58
Gold $10-Liberty Head Eagle
27 graded AU-58, 13 higher at NGC. 1839/8, large letters, and variously referred to as the "head of 1838". Marvelously sharp overall for an 1830s gold piece, even if the obverse stars display only minimal sharpness. Only limited cartwheel effect is able to project through light mustard-gold patina yet very little actual wear affects major details. Delicate marks fall across both sides, joined by a few mentionable light rim dings on the reverse.

In this lot we have two Scott Kay pieces. The first is a 9” sterling silver and 18K chain bracelet with a toggle clasp and the second is a sterling silver blue topaz pendant on a 15.5” cable chain. 3.63 troy ounces.
