  • Lot #744 - 1806 Pointed 6, No Stem PCGS AU-55
  • Half Dollars-Draped Bust
  • Bachelor Simon Collection. Overton-109a R.3, a well-known die-state with extensive obverse die cracks from incessant clashing of the dies. The die-state can be instantly ascertained by noting the crack over the twelfth star. It is true that deep, nearly midnight coloration dominates the obverse, yet both sides exude strong luster, and the reverse displays obvious evidence of annulated album colors. Both sides display a remarkable degree of freedom from abrasions as the cataloger could find not even a single bagmark requiring attention.

  • Lot #771 - 1814 Small Date PCGS AU-53
  • Hammer: $1,050
  • Dimes-Capped Bust
  • JR-1, the only "small date" die-marriage characterized by weakness of strike at the obverse upper right and reverse lower right. The latter side displays pleasing and fairly extensive flowline texture while the obverse was lightly cleaned at some point, now showing finely recovered greyish hue. An overall pleasing example of an uncommon date within the series.

  • Hammer: $425
  • Jewelry-Silver
  • Circa 1960/1970, this sterling silver (tested, not marked) and turquoise squash blossom necklace features 10 blossoms set between seamed beads and an 8-stone Naja at the bottom. The design of the piece is mostly original with a slight twist on modernism. The turquoise used in the making appears to be from the Cripple Creek mine. Condition is very nice for its age with a vintage patina to the metal. Unsigned piece so tribal affiliation is unknown. Length 28”, 5.78 troy ounces.
