  • Lot #466 - 1908-S Motto PCGS MS-61
  • Hammer: $4,550
  • Gold $10-Indian Head Eagle
  • Mintage: 59,850. The first San Francisco Indian eagle was produced in limited number, explaining their high value even at just MS-61. The coppery patina has some steely friction breaks from storage, creating a bit of two-tone character. Examining the surface also reveals innumerable tiny bagmarks that help limit the grade.
