Quarter Dollars-Standing Liberty
101st Airborne Collection. A group of Standing Liberty quarters was recently extracted from the consignor's Dansco collection, as all the other pieces are circulated. Included are: 1917-D type-2 (MS-62 and extremely original toning that looks much like mint-set patina), 1919 (UNC/FH but showing hazy surfaces), 1925 (Ch BU), 1926-D (UNC but not well struck and showing album color), and 1928 (Ch BU/FH and with attractive turquoise iridescence clinging to the devices. Morals And Liberty Collection. Kagin-5, 880 THOUS, no "50" on reverse. As boldly sharp as is a typical example with XF to AU details, most of the vertical lines of the shield are fully impressed end-to-end but the rock at the base has some merging of their borders. Random small chips and dings show on the edges and of course, intricacy of the machined reverse design only amplifies the presence of each tiny abrasion. Curious texture affects the surface, leading to the PCGS disclaimer.
