The Quatre Quartet! All four members of this group lot are examples of French Colonies coins that includes three PCGS and one NGC certified example. The three PCGS issues includes a 1740/39-A AU Detials-Scratch, a 1753-A F-15, and a 1754-A AU-55 Ford. A lone NGC issue is a 1711-D Genuine 30D. It may be worth noting that all three of the PCGS examples are from the Sydney F. Martin Collection (ck).

Gold $2.50-Liberty Head Quarter Eagle
Although not rare overall as a date, the 1856, like any earlier half-eagle, jumps into the arena of scarcity above lower mint-state grades, and this is an interesting piece for reasons other than just grade. Taken off of strongly clashed dies, the obverse die was nicely lapped while the reverse die still retains a full silhouette of Liberty as well as a forming retained cud above TAT on the reverse. The surface shows a surprising amount of overall abrading for MS-64 but also offers attractive vintage color and velvety luster.
