In ascending denomination are: cent (gorgeous flame-orange hue evenly and consistently distributed across the entire surface), dime (sensational white brilliance with meager cameo contrast and immaculate surfaces), and half-dollar (only slightly hazy and superbly struck off of refinished dies). Lot #4 - Byzantine Empire - Two AD 654-668 solidus - NGC

Ancient Coins-Roman Empire
Each represents variation in design from the other but curiously, NGC neither attributed nor graded either one. In the [cataloger's opinion], the brighter coin grades [AU] and gleams with significant luster despite a small number of lengthier hairline abrasions on the reverse. Accompanying is an example nearer XF despite hints of luster, and it also carries a few light hairline scratches conspicuous only under a loupe. Two coin lot.
